2 Large arched windows that face to the west
give this home great light so I did not want to
obscure the light or the fantastic water view. The
Oxford valance was chosen to compliment the
arch of the window and a classic roman shade
was chosen to come down during dinner when
the sun presents a glare problem. The classic
roman shade also provides additional insulation
in the winter to reduce heating costs.
6 other windows throughout the dining room and
kitchen were given a simple tab top valance with
custom made hardware of solid twisted iron that
has the same matching finish as the medallions
chosen for the arched windows.A classic roman
shade is also used on all windows to continue
the rhythm of the design and reduce winter heat
costs.
